Journal paper | OUT
下記は必ず読んでおくこと。

最後に、私の方では普段「やらないよりもやった方が良い。失敗しても良い」とお伝えしていますが、この「失敗」は決して目指さないように。
また、ルールをつかみ取ることが重要ですが、技術の進歩や時代の変化によりルールが変化することにも注意しなければなりません。

Needless to say, plagiarism must not be committed (Understand the definition of plagiarism if you do not it yet). Even if these acts are unintentional, they can result in plagiarism. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully examine your work before submission and publication.
Since your doctoral dissertation and master's and undergraduate thesis is your own single work, you are responsible for it.
The following is the current OU instructions on how to use the plagiarism checking tool for your doctoral dissertation, and master's and undergraduate thesis. However, due to the trend of the times, I have started to check the plagiarism of the students I supervise from this year (academic year 2021).
I am also already using iThenticate for submissions to journals and conferences (you, as the author, should also set aside time for this).
Note that iThenticate (as I understand the current it) detects exactly the same words, phrases, and sentences.
On the other hand, there are some plagiarism checking tools that detect "similar" phrases using AI, so be careful. Free trial:

Also, be careful of self-plagiarism as well as that of others.
The current understanding is as follows:
You must read the following:
APA Plagiarism

Finally, I usually tell people, "It's better to try than not to try. It's okay to fail", but never aim for this "failure".
It is also important to understand the rules, but be aware that the rules change as technology advances and times change.
