There should only be six (6) short sentences as follows:
1. Introduction
research questionのstatement。
2. Literature Review
3. Proposed Method
4. Results
5. Discussion
6. Conclusion
HOW TO WRITE A SCIENTIFIC ARTICLE
The basic structure of an academic paper is IMRAD (Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion).
The following is a list of six commonly used chapters. Keep reading high quality journal articles written in English every day and analyze how the article is organized in each chapter.
The unsatisfactory structure is a research report conducted by a government (consultant) or a system development report prepared by a software development company.
The title, abstract, and keywords are the three most important elements that will be used for search after publication. If these elements are not attractive, your chances of attracting new readers will decrease.
The following six items are essential for an abstract.
Do not cite previous studies in your abstract. This is because abstracts are treated separately from the main body of the paper, and even if you cite them, you will not be able to get to the source of the citation.
1. Introduction
While taking into account the social and technological background (not written like a textbook, but written in such a way that it is comprehensive and yet narrowed down to the research gap), present the research gap (a theme that no one has researched. However, you don't have to write about many gaps that you don't actually do). Then, clearly state the research question and the objective of the research (novelty).
Identify research gaps in previous research to show the strengths of your research and how it differs from previous research. This is usually explained by conducting a comprehensive literature review (more on this in Chapter 2, but a nearby literature review is necessary in this chapter). Once you have identified (one or more) gaps, narrow down the focus of your research to one research gap.
2. Literature Review
Authors should conduct a critical review of a wide range of published studies from around the world, indicating their limitations, and clearly stating the purpose of the study (novelty). If you are unable to present the novelty of your research in light of the existing research, anything you write after that will unfortunately be meaningless. Also, if it is an engineering paper, it will not be evaluated unless it is useful.
After organizing the existing research, describe the contributions of the research in the last section of this chapter. Describe the limitations of the existing research and how this research can contribute to the issues in the field.
3. Proposed Method
Generality is important. In other words, a universal proposal is important. The description should exclude specific conditions as much as possible.
For example, you should avoid mentioning specific design targets or planning regions, or specific products such as Revit, Unity, etc. as much as possible. These will significantly reduce the generality of the proposed methodology. In academic papers, specific products should be eliminated as much as possible in the proposed methodology section, and they should be used in the section for building prototypes for validation.
4. Results
Embody and validate chapter 3. Repeatability is important for experiments. All experimental conditions should be described.
The results should be organized in an easy-to-understand manner according to the evaluation items.
The experiment cannot be done once and for all, but must be redone many times.
In the experiments in Chapter 4, make every effort to provide quantitative output. This will require statistical processing. What you evaluate (the evaluation axis) has a lot to do with the objective of your research. In other words, what should be clarified (what should be proven) so that you can say that you have proved your point. Of course, if the content is difficult to evaluate quantitatively, it is necessary to add qualitative evaluation.
You should strive to complete a higher quality academic paper, even if it has been previously published and is as described above. On the other hand, do not forget to respect the past research.
5. Discussion
Describe your findings (findings) based on the facts obtained in chapter 4. Also, describe the limitations of the proposed method, such as the issues that have not been fully verified due to experimental conditions or newly discovered issues.
6. Conclusion
Describe the contribution of your research to the field.
